Bio
In 1989, I saw my first Kentucky Derby on TV. Seeing Sunday Silence and Easy Goer battle down the stretch was enthralling, and I've been hooked ever since. Years later, I've watched all but one Derby on TV or in the Churchill Downs infield.

I avidly read both the Bloodhorse.com articles and the DRF.com articles. Sometimes I agree with their comments on races, sometimes I don't.

There are things I don't like about racing (the politics, the money-grubbing business managers, etc.), but for me, it is about the horse. And the thrill of watching these beautiful animals charge down the stretch is still strong.

I also loved the random fictional race horses, especially the Black and all of his progeny. And of course, Ashleigh's Wonder (thoroughbred series) and all associated horses, as well as a lesser known fictional horse named Spitfire. (And many more..)

So now, in this journal, I'm going to write out anything and everything I want about the races I see and the ones i'm looking forward to and maybe a little bit on the side about the politics.
